About us

We are Stefano and Paola, brother and sister. This house belonged to our grandmother Lina, a tenacious and kind woman who loved these mountains and the simplicity of life in the Apennines.

It's not the house where we grew up, but it's one of our family's favorite places. We spent many summer days here, walking in the woods, enjoying lunches outdoors, enjoying the silence, the stars, and authentic trattorias.

We have chosen to open this house to those who, like us, love simple but genuine things: the fragrant wood, the exposed beams, the warmth of the stove, the relaxing greenery and the slow rhythms of the mountains.

If you're looking for a place to unplug, work remotely, or simply breathe, you're welcome.

We look forward to seeing you in Casalporino, nestled between Emilia-Romagna and Liguria, in the heart of the Food Valley, just steps from the sea and the ski slopes.

👵👴 Our grandparents: Lina and Giovanni, known as “Remon”

This house is not just a physical place, but a piece of living memory of our family.

Lina and Giovanni, known as “Remon,” our grandparents, rented this house to vacationers starting in the 1950s and continued to do so throughout their lives.

Giovanni was a carpenter: many of the wooden structures, furniture, and details that make our home unique bear his signature. He was also a passionate photographer, capable of capturing the beauty of the landscape and the simplest moments.

Lina was the beating heart of the hospitality, always ready to cook, welcome, and smile. Together, they were known and loved throughout the valley, also for their passion for smooth dancing, which enlivened the evenings in the neighboring villages.

Today we feel we are continuing, on tiptoe, that tradition of sincere and family hospitality that they began more than seventy years ago.

And if the house smells of wood and memories, it's also thanks to them.
